Description :
Muslim women disturb, intrigue, polarize, trapped in a straitjacket forged by an amalgam of stories on the front page. While the media like to portray them as submissive and silenced, director Saïda Ouchaou-Ozarowski preferred to move away from this caricatural image with which she does not identify. She met with six Canadian Muslim women who were ready to discuss what has shaped their identity. The documentary À pleine voix takes an intimate look at the journey of these women, having in common the desire to share their vision of Islam. The more the film progresses, the more we see that the protagonists not only question our perceptions of these communities that are too often stigmatized, but demonstrate that beyond our differences, we are all in search of freedom and equity.
