Departure for a singular journey
Welcome aboard the Carlton Cinema, the rocket that will propel you to singular universes with you as a passenger, an audience that is always receptive and motivated!
Fascinating famous cases are likely to trigger visceral reactions. The story of Clémentine Delait, “the Bearded Woman” (Rosalie) or Anne/Jean-Baptiste Grandjean, an eighteenth-century intersex person (Girl for a Day) or that of the Salpêtrière women in Party of fools or Brother Marie-Victorin and Marcelle Gauvreau magnificent love (Tell me why things are so beautiful) will plunge you into striking universes.
Comedies of all kinds
It is fun to watch comedies like Riviera Revenge, Open Season, Meet the Leroys and many other films... In the middle of this comedic euphoria, current topics such as male chauvinism, colonial identities, disabilities sometimes slip in: The Midwife, Here and There and A Little Extra Something, the mega success of French cinema.
