In 2080, in the aftermath of a bloody civil war in Canada, Francophones and Anglophones are separated by a huge wall. The precarious peace was maintained by the hunt for bilinguals, prescribed by the government, which feared that the latter, by refusing to choose a single language, would question the validity of the new regime put in place.
