Film synopsis
Saad, a young Moroccan exile in Quebec, is ready to do whatever it takes to save the man he loves, an Iranian refugee who is about to be sent back to his country, where certain death awaits him. In a bid to attempt the impossible, Saad sets out to seduce an influential spokesperson at the Ministry of Immigration, triggering a chain of events that are as intimate as they are political, where each decision carries far more than emotional consequences.
“...this 20th feature film by Léa Pool deftly alternates between beauty and horror, desire and danger, hope and despair.”
