Police and gender relations Feminism &# Me Too Male domination – Humour
Simone, a cop with conservative ideas, infiltrates a feminist collective. However, her cover is thin. To divert attention and get out of this bad situation, Simone finds nothing better than to randomly accuse a man of having raped her.
- “As per usual, Michel Leclerc pushes the boundaries of comedy some distance, reveling in exploring its many iterations, whether police-based comedy, ensemble comedy, comedies of manners or societal comedy, taking delight in blending genres and bending genders with a cheeky yet affectionate approach.”
Review: Not All Men But… – Cineuropa
- “With Léa Drucker in a complex role, a provocative plot and a satirical look at contemporary struggles, Le Mélange des genres promises to be a film that shakes up certainties and invites reflection. Its mix of genres, between thriller, comedy and social drama could make it one of the outstanding French Films of 2025.”
