At over 90 years old, Imelda Turcotte-Villeneuve refuses to fade away quietly. Sharp-tongued, provocative and impossible to control, she wages a battle against decorum, religion, family expectations and death itself. Inspired by true events, “Imelda Strikes Back” unfolds through tragicomic confrontations where scandal and rebellion gradually reveal deeper layers of memory, loss and grief. As her final years unfold, Imelda clashes with family and friends, faces ghosts from the past and transforms silence into freedom — emerging as a woman determined to live by her own rules.
