Mathieu has long distanced himself from his Turkish roots in his pursuit of social advancement, much to the dismay of his family. A brilliant lawyer, he handles high-profile cases for powerful multinational corporations at a prestigious firm and is on the verge of becoming partner to his mentor, Claude. His plans are upended when his sister asks him to defend Abdullah, a young Turkish man from their community who has been the victim of a racist attack by a European parliament member – an assault Abdullah is determined to take to court. Convinced he can use the case to advance his firm, Mathieu plunges headlong into a spiral of lies, betrayal and violence. Caught in a shadowy web of European political corruption, he must fight not only for justice, but against the hidden power and ruthless brutality of the Parliament itself.

- “The film uses the tools of the thriller to reveal the vulnerability of an outwardly successful figure. The corruption plot therefore serves not only to create suspense. It puts Mathieu’s rise under pressure and forces him to redefine the relationship between career, loyalty, and origins. The Turkish community does not appear as an abstract motif of identity, but as a concrete social point of reference.”

- “Hüseyin Aydin Gürsoy succeeds in delivering an interesting debut feature about the notion of integration and the weight of identity. The film finds a subtle balance between social drama, thriller, and character‑driven narrative.”
