Inspired by the true story of La Maison des Femmes, a unique center in Seine-Saint-Denis, France, founded in 2016 by Dr. Ghada Hatem, the film follows Diane, Manon, Inès, Awa and their colleagues who, through care, listening, and solidarity, fight every day to help women who are victims of violence rebuild their lives. Inès, a young medical intern, begins her placement at this extraordinary place, to her mother’s dismay, who would have preferred a more prestigious assignment for her. Together, with their strengths and vulnerabilities, these women restore confidence to those too often silenced by society.
