At the age of 13, her parents decided to send her away to get married without her consent, as_ she prepared the entrance exam for 6th grade and the CEPE. She has never seen her future husband and has no idea what he looks like. As is customary in some ethnic groups in northern Cameroon, no voices are raised to prevent this marriage so that the teenager Ammiya could carry on her studies, choose her husband and the time she deems right to marry. Thirteen years (13) after this early and forced marriage, Ammiya gives us an assessment of her 13 years of marriage.
