In Tangier, Mehdi works on the construction site of a luxurious villa in the kasbah. He is in a relationship with Selma, who works at a bakery. Their story shifts when he meets Marie, a wealthy French woman whose parents have purchased the villa. Drawn to the glamorous world she represents, Mehdi distances himself from Selma, unaware that his choices will come back to confront him.

“While the pairing of Sara Giraudeau and Driss Ramdi works perfectly, and Carole Bouquet lends her elegance with subtlety to this nuanced bourgeois character—while giving her scene partner, Olivier Rabourdin, ample space—it is truly Nadia Kounda who captures all the attention. Her authenticity brings a breath of fresh air to this cruel satire, which pushes boundaries and caused quite a stir when it was presented at the Marrakech Film Festival.”
